The Wishing Well / Town & Country Community

Built in the mid 50's, this hybrid community stretches from Victoria Park to Warden and from the 401 to
Sheppard Avenue .

The area from Victoria Park to Pharmacy was originally marketed as the Town and Country subdivision but, over time, had its identity merged with the larger Wishing Well Community.

Together, this is a very attractive bungalow community with 2 large parks, a great primary school -- Vradenburg -- and a new church, Gracepoint, replacing the historic Wishing Well Baptist.

It has lots of small restaurants, too: along Victoria Park north of
Esquire Road and on Pharmacy south of Sheppard.

An apartment condo and townhouses form a compact neighbourhood along Palmdale Road in the community's north east section.

There are three eating establishments of note: Johnny's on Victoria Park (just south of Sheppard) -- Lin Garden (Indian/Chinese) on Pharmacy (south of Sheppard) and the long-time area family favorite, Remezzos, in the Warden/Sheppard plaza.

There are 2 changes coming to the south side of Sheppard: A 3 story building on the south east corner at Victoria Park, and a change in land use (residential to commercial) at 2967 Sheppard Ave East - west of commons.
