Regrettably, too many people move into a house, forgetting that they’re
moving into a community.
Let’s
not lose the history of our communities. Knowing what came
before is not only interesting but it adds to the depth of our
life in the community. It makes us aware that we are apart of
something more than a collection of houses, stores, and parks.
We become aware of the story of our neighbourhood and leads –
I hope – to the realization that we’re a part of that story,
too.
So…scan your old photos of people and places and send them to
me – or bring them into the office so we can copy them. And
email or write to me with stories about living – maybe growing
up in your neighbourhood.
Don’t let
the good memories die.
