This
used to be a farm, growing lots of corn. Then it became – for
many years – an industrial site for the international giant,
Honeywell.
Everyone was surprised when an application came in for a
residential community in an industrial area.
The boundaries are Birchmount to just west of Dundalk and Ellesmere. It’s the
smallest of Ward 40’s communities (in size) north, 2 blocks.
To the north of the residential units, there are a collection of
dead or dying industrial properties.
It can be divided into 3 portions: single family homes west of Mondeo Drive; townhouses east of
Mondeo; and apartment condos (the latest addition) on Ellesmere Road. It has one church, One
Accord Ministries.
There are no schools, though Glamorgan JR and Ellesmere Statton
(SR) are close by.
