This is a new award.
It will go to the families that do the best front yard "makeover"
this year. To win this award or to nominate a family, please submit
before and after photos.
Note: This shouldn't be confused with the
annual City Trillium Awards which go to the best front gardens in
the community.
If you already have a great
looking front yard, you'll be eligible for a Trillium. If you've
turned an under planted front yard into one that draws admiring
glances from neighbours, then you're up for a Kelly Green
award.
Just a
reminder, when doing a "makeover", put the evergreen shrubs up
against the house. (Think of the evergreens as the clothes the house
wears. They'll be there all year 'round). Accent the evergreens with
flowers. (Think of them as accessories that show off the clothes and
their wearer).
