Climate Change

It’s getting warmer.

Most scientists believe it’s because of the unprecedented volume of CO2 in the air. Others attribute the heat to increased solar activity.

Not taking any chances, governments and businesses are trying to slow down temperature change by cleaning up the air in a variety of ways. I’ve supported a range of policies that are helping to promote a clean and green lifestyle in Toronto  And many of the following initiatives came through the City’s Planning and Growth Management Committee, which I chair.

So far these initiatives have reduced greenhouse gas emissions 40% below 1990 levels.
